Our Story... So Far

Our Story... So Far

Passion leads to greatness, and our story is no different.

We’re Andrew Cecere and Rachel Cummings, partners in life, business, and adventure. Our bond is the heart of everything we do—we’re best friends, soulmates, and teammates through it all. Whether it's thinking of new ideas, racing, or chasing waves on jet skis, we do it side by side. Ace x Performance was born from that connection—our shared love for speed, pushing limits, and always striving for more—on and off the water.

Our journey started over a decade ago, bonding over dirt bikes, mountain biking, skiing, and eventually jet skis. In 2018, Rachel signed us up for our very first jet ski race on a whim, and that was it. We were hooked. Turns out, we weren’t just passionate about riding—we were pretty good at it.

Since then, we've gone on to build an award-winning race program and collect some serious accolades along the way:

Andrew Cecere is a 4x IJSBA World Champion in the Vintage Ski and Vintage X2 categories. He has developed a serious reputation as a force to be reckoned with on the racetrack, known for sweeping all moto wins in multiple seasons and remaining undefeated in the Huntington Beach Surf Moto race in Vintage Ski. With a background in aircraft engineering, welding certifications, and a lifetime of hands-on mechanical mastery, he’s the wrench and sharer of knowledge—designing, modifying, and perfecting high-performance engines that win, and assisting others to do the same.

Rachel Cummings has made her mark as one of the most accomplished female vintage jet ski racers of her generation. She’s a 2x Women’s Vintage Ski National Champion and has claimed over 20 moto wins in the Women's Vintage Ski class. Rachel secured a Top 10 finish at the 2022 IJSBA World Finals—as the only female competitor in her class. She’s also earned 3 national series podium finishes against fields of 20+ male competitors, along with multiple overall race wins and moto victories in stacked, highly competitive lineups in the Pro Vintage 550 Mod class. All onboard her AcexPerformance modded out 1994 Kawasaki 550sx.

Together, we’ve built more than just machines—we’ve built a movement based off this: ride heavy and wrench heavy. With the support from each other and a relentless drive to evolve, AcexPerformance was born.

What started as a hobby turned race program naturally evolved into something bigger. We realized we could take everything we’ve learned—from racing, building, training, and competing—and share it with others who are chasing performance in their own lives.

At AcexPerformance, we combine mechanical mastery with a mindset that is based on relentless curiosity. Andrew is the mastermind in the garage, and Rachel is the digital engine behind the scenes.
